Ley Federal de Cosulta a Pueblos Indígenas / Mex Federal Consultation law to Indigenous Comunities

tan importante.

Seguimos.

Hello to everyone
On the above link you will find an article from our friend Fernando Chapela
that in his Rural Sustainable News Blog, writes about the presentation of the
Federal Law for Consulting with Indigenous Comunities.

Besides the report of our friend I think it is important to think about:
- It is noteworthy that the same congressman recognizes that the actual law
is of almost none applicability.
- This could be the legal instrument to integrate REDD mechanism and its
derivates, the national strategy and its necesary consultation process
- If used well this could be the legal instrument that achieves the participation
of Indigenous comunities on the adaptation and mitigation projects on a free,
priorly informed, representative and agreed way.
- It is needed to clarify if this instrument or last week initiative for
Colective Actions is the one that could involve Indigenous people
to the payment for environmental services dynamics of their territories.
We must avoid having two instruments and no clarity about a very important matter.

Best Regards
